Separators
Using Dental Separators
They were placed in order to make a very small gap between your teeth.
-
When flossing, ensure to cover all areas except where separators are positioned. Standard dental hygiene can be maintained elsewhere.
-
Refrain from consuming sticky foods, including chewing gum and other adhesive substances.
-
Sensitivity in areas with separators may persist for the next 48 to 72 hours. Over-the-counter pain relievers, like those used for headaches, can be taken if necessary.
-
Losing a separator indicates successful creation of the desired space. If your next appointment is within 48 hours, no action is required. If it's beyond this timeframe, contact us to schedule a replacement visit that will be set one day before your next appointment.
