We have a combined dentist and orthodontist experience of 30 years, of which the last 24 years have been dedicated to orthodontics exclusively as a specialist orthodontist.
An Orthodontist is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Orthodontists must successfully complete an additional residency program of at least two-three years of advanced AND FULL TIME education in orthodontics after obtaining the dentist diploma.
This advanced training includes such diverse studies as genetics, embryology, human growth and development, and biophysics. In Canada, only dentists with this advanced specialty education can present themselves as Orthodontists.
The title Orthodontist in Montreal can only be granted by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec, which is the governing authority in Quebec.
