Removable appliance

Important instructions for appliance use:
  • Never use your teeth to "bite the appliance into position" as this can damage or break it.

  • Never use your tongue to remove the appliance as it may damage or break it.
    Use your fingers as instructed.
     

You may experience the following:
  • Pressure and discomfort

  • Sensation of extra saliva

  • Difficulty with speech
     

These side effects typically subside within 4-10 days.

Maintenance instructions:
  • Remove the appliance for cleaning twice daily (morning and evening) and rinse it after meals
    to remove food debris.

  • Use your regular dental toothbrush and toothpaste for cleaning.

  • Do not use any chemicals for cleaning or soak the appliance.
     

Additional guidelines:
  • Remove the appliance during vigorous sports to prevent accidental displacement.

  • Replace the appliance in your mouth immediately after such activities.

  • When not in use, always store the appliance in its protective box.

  • Contact the clinic if there are any breakages or if you lose your appliance.
    If you can continue to wear it comfortably, please do so.
     

Usage instructions:
  • Wear the appliance full-time, day and night, except during eating or brushing.

  • If instructed to turn the expansion mechanism, follow our specific instructions.
